MOROCCAN SAHARA - MOROCCAN LAND with SPIRITUALITY and CULTURE
This video represents a gathering of people singing and clapping around the corner of their hood. It is a tradition that is thousand years in making and existence and it is from Marrakech with roots in the Berber/Amzigh manners. Every year, such celebration takes place and central stage in Marrakech as a competition with spiritual connection and meaning that crosses territorial borders of the various neighborhoods and different ways how to dance and clap as well as sing or praise the local Saint. The Clap called Dakka has to be rhythmic in the same way and to complete harmoniously the other members clapping and to respect certain harmony that is played by the Leader who is the CENTRAL character here on this play. On this stage, there a mixture of actors who are also from Marrakech and bands of clappers who have effectively won the competition in the past and are now considered as the Masters of the Dakka in Marrakech and therefore are invited to perform together in plays, marriage, reception of dignitaries and folkloric festivals. Similarly, you can see how these performing individuals look and also act as real African and their rhythmic dances and claps confirm such African origin as it is the case for their respective dresses and outfits. These everyday dresses are the same than the ones wore in Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Chad, Niger, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone and even beyond. Within such limits, you can imagine the Moroccan Sahara that is just next door who also have and is distinguished by the same features in physical terms, education, culture and even rendition of rhythm, music and spiritual evocation that are made here. There is no border in such land of the practices of popular traditions that are rooted in the same stock of culture, believes and parenthood. At every aspect and way of life, if you take the time to be concerned and seeking the truth, you will find common ground between Morocco and its Southern Provinces at every level of way of life and its expression in any kind of means of existence. https://www.facebook.com/BAMRRAKCHE/videos/1652800111616909/ https://www.facebook.com/BAMRRAKCHE/videos/1652800111616909/
